Master Your Appetite: PAY ATTENTION!

Where is your attention? Are you constantly distracted with your eyes in your phone or thinking of work or constantly going over the stress areas in your life? People are so distracted that they can barely look at someone when walking down the street or come in from work so distracted that you aren't paying any attention to your loved one or spouse. We have to start living purposely with the people around us. Actually seeing and connecting with them. Have an appetite for showing love. It’s no secret that a huge part of a relationship is paying Attention! Be attentive to each other’s stories, desires and interests. Take time to talk and look at each other in the eyes. Listening with your ears but your eyes are on your phone, does not qualify as paying attention.  This is what I want you to do this week. When you or your loved one comes home, completely stop whatever it is that you are doing and spend 15 minutes fully engaged with each other. Little things like that can be the driving force for building a successful relationship.

Next Stop: Mexico! "Cueva de los Cristales" or the Cave of the Crystals

You are not mistaken by looking at this picture, those are adult people and those are the actual sizes of these enormous crystals. This beautiful cave is found in Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico. It was just discovered 15 years ago in 2000. Back in 1910, a group of Miners discovered another cave known as Cueva de las Espadas or the Cave of the Swords. That cave is 120 meters below which is about 390 feet. Those miners would have had to go almost another 600 ft down to the depths of 980 ft and they would have found the Caves of the Crystals.

The Cave of Crystals is in the shape of a horseshoe and it sits in limestone. Its floor is covered in crystalline Blocks. Miners are able to explore the cave because the mining company is pumping out all of the water. If the pumping were to stop, the cave would completely fill up with water! The Largest Crystal in the cave is 39ft in length and 13 ft in diameter and weighs a whopping 55 tons!

Another interesting fact is that the caves temperature is 136 degrees Fahrenheit! With a 90-99% Humidity. A person that is not wearing protective gear can only endure this environment for 10 minutes at a time.

It just amazes me that this world has so many wonders and extraordinary elements that we may not be aware some. When I see things like this, I tend to say to myself, there God goes again showing out. lol
